- Worship is Agreement
What is worship? Worship is a response of love from the heart. The kind of worship the Father seeks comes from those who are worshipping in spirit and truth. When we worship we agree with who God says He is. This agreement (unity) is what connects heaven to earth in the spirit!
“But the hour is coming and now is, when the true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him.” John 4:23
- When we think of worship our minds need to be filled with thoughts of a Person. The only fitting response to this God who sits on His throne is the unceasing response of adoration.
- “Why is He worthy?” This question needs to be settled in you; the nations are asking too!
- The Father is seeking those who desire to have corporate worship and agreement on earth, just like the corporate nature of Heaven. Look at the response of the four living creatures in Revelation 5: (“they do not rest day or night, saying Holy Holy Holy.”) Look at the elders: (“whenever the living creatures give glory honor and thanks to Him who sits on the throne…the 24 elders fall down before Him who sits on the throne and worship Him… and casts their crown before the throne”)
- We as believers are called to be priests to God: Worship as ministry was one of the highest callings of a priest.
“At that time the Lord separated the tribe of Levi to bear the ark of the covenant of the Lord, to stand before the Lord to minister to Him and to bless in His name, to this day.” Deuteronomy 10:8
“My sons, do not be negligent now, for the Lord has chosen you to stand before Him, to serve Him, and that you should minister to Him and burn incense.” 2 Chronicles 29:11
